Moving to the iMIS Staff Site from the desktop can cause anxiety to those who have worked in iMIS that way for years!  However, it doesn't have to be full of anxiety and trepidation. If you have yet to move from desktop to Staff Site, let us help you! During this class, learn the tips, tricks, and tools you need for a successful transition. Work through all of the changes to become more familiar and comfortable in using the Staff Site. In addition, you will receive testing options, training ideas, and will gain the confidence you need to get your staff ready to tackle this change.

From soup to nuts, we will cover everything you need to know about accounting in iMIS. We will include how to bring (or update) your GL code structure and make sure your accounting is properly configured. We will look at how accounting ties into each module of iMIS with financial transactions, and how to ensure it is set up correctly (such as ensuring Events staff use the correct codes). If you currently have (or someday might have) complexities like multiple entities, we have you covered as well. An overview of creating and managing batches will be included. Once financial transactions have been made in iMIS, you will need to get them into your accounting software and go over what is involved with month-end procedures. (Hint: they do not need to be run only at the end of the month). Finally, we will highlight the future of iMIS and how the changes will impact or enhance your financial needs!

There are two popular approaches to using your data; data visualization, and data analytics. Each plays a vital role in data exploration. You don't have to choose one or the other— they both help you to see and understand your data. Visualizing data helps to report on data. Data analytics will help you to dive into the data to better understand your constituents. Both are key to driving member engagement within your organization. Learn the differences between these two vital roles your data can play a part in to enable you to report on, draw conclusions, and get better insight to your constituents.

Your organization probably set-up iMIS years ago - when the Internet and technology were not what it is today. So many of your configuration and set-up options probably should be re-thought. And yes, you probably have different staff today that don't know the WHY behind why your iMIS was set up the way it was. This session takes a client that was set up 15 years ago and talks about how they might make changes to make their system ready for 2019 and beyond, for the Cloud.

As iMIS moves to the cloud, how ready is your whole organization? Can you really get to the point where you will never have to upgrade a server or system again? You can! But there are some steps that need to be taken. Whether self-hosted or hosted by an outside vendor, you can take steps to move to the cloud. This session will talk about scenarios in which you can move all at once or over time. We will also discuss licensing implications and costs. If you do not have a cloud strategy or just know you need to get to the cloud, this session will give you the tools to take to your board.
